Llandudno, North Wales - Men arrested after Llandudno attacks on jogger and dog walker

The two victims were assaulted on the promenade at about 7am

A jogger on the promenade in the Victorian resort was assaulted at about 7am by two men.
A 52-year-old dog walker was attacked shortly afterwards.
Following enquiries, North Wales Police arrested two men from the Cheshire area who were staying in a Llandudno hotel.
Police say the injuries to the two victims are minor, but family members of the dog walker said he suffered a "severe" cut to his ear and was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd for an X-ray.
The men have been arrested on suspicion of assault and remain in police custody at this time.
Inspector Gareth Cust said: "Officers were called to the location, enquiries commenced, and two males were swiftly arrested.
"The motive for the assault is not believed to be robbery-related, and the injuries sustained were minor in nature.
"Police enquiries continue while the males remain in custody, and we are happy that this was an isolated incident in which a swift and effective response was made."
Anyone with information is asked to call North Wales Police on 101, quoting reference number V012679.
